What Needs to Heal?
The Inner Healing Experience
Heart Check
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3
Kingdom Truth
Healing is not a destination you arrive at.
It is a lifelong journey of allowing God to restore every part of your heart.
You may have experienced tremendous healing in one area of your life while still discovering places where God wants to bring greater freedom. That doesn’t mean you’ve failed. It means He’s continuing His work in you.
Sometimes we become so focused on what we’ve overcome that we stop asking God where He wants to heal us next.
Today’s Heart Check is an invitation—not to look for flaws, but to make room for deeper healing.
❤️ Heart Check
Pause and ask the Holy Spirit:
What needs to heal?
Listen without judgment.
Allow Him to gently reveal what He wants to restore.
What’s Really Happening?
Maybe it’s…
A disappointment you never processed.
A relationship that left a deep wound.
A fear that still influences your decisions.
An insecurity you hide behind confidence.
A place where trust was broken.
Grief you’ve learned to live around instead of through.
A habit of striving instead of resting.
An area where you’ve stopped believing God can move.
Sometimes healing isn’t about uncovering something new.
Sometimes it’s about allowing God to finish what He already started.
God’s Truth
God never reveals an area that needs healing to shame you.
He reveals it because He loves you.
He doesn’t expose your heart to condemn it.
He brings things into the light so He can restore them.
The same God who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it.
His desire is not just for you to survive your story, but to walk in wholeness because of it.
Inner Healing Practice
Find a quiet place.
Ask God to reveal one area of your heart that He wants to touch today.
Don’t rush to fix it.
Simply acknowledge it and invite Him into it.
Then write one sentence beginning with:
“Jesus, I need Your healing in…”
Stay there in prayer.
Let His presence do what your striving never could.
Journal Prompt
Complete these statements:
Today God is showing me…
I’ve been carrying…
I believe God wants to heal…
One step I can take this week is…
I trust God because…
Prayer
Father,
Thank You for loving me enough to continue Your work in my heart.
Show me the places where I still need Your healing, not to bring shame, but to bring freedom.
Heal every place where fear has taken root.
Restore every place where disappointment has stolen hope.
Comfort every place where grief still lingers.
Strengthen every place where trust has been broken.
Help me embrace the journey of healing with patience, knowing that You are with me every step of the way.
I trust You with every part of my heart.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
