Waiting Without Worry
Moment of Stillness
Waiting can feel uncomfortable.
We want answers.
We want direction.
We want things to happen now.
But while you’re waiting, God is still working.
Before you begin your prayer, pause.
Take a slow, deep breath.
Then another.
Release the need to know every detail of what comes next.
Allow yourself to rest in the confidence that God is never late and never absent.
“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”
— Psalm 27:14
A Question for Your Heart
Am I waiting with trust, or am I waiting with worry?
Take a moment to reflect.
Worry focuses on what could happen.
Faith rests in the One who already knows what will happen.
Today, choose to place your confidence in God’s perfect timing.
Take a Breath
Inhale: I trust Your timing.
Exhale: I release my worry.
Repeat this slowly three times.
Today’s Prayer
Father,
Waiting isn’t always easy, but I know You are faithful. When I can’t see what You’re doing, help me trust that You are working behind the scenes for my good and Your glory.
Replace my anxious thoughts with quiet confidence. Strengthen my faith while I wait, and remind me that every delay is an opportunity to grow deeper in trust.
Help me to wait with peace instead of pressure, with hope instead of fear, and with expectation instead of doubt.
Today, I place my timeline into Your hands.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
Remain in God’s presence for a few moments. Let your waiting become an act of worship, trusting that the God who holds your future is already preparing the way before you.
