💛 SOUL CARE WEDNESDAY… Not Every Memory Needs to Be Written Today!

Writing your story requires courage.

But it also requires wisdom.

Every part of your story does not need to be written at the same time.

And more importantly…

Not every memory needs to be written today.

There are moments in your life that carry weight, emotional, mental, and even physical weight.

When you revisit those moments through writing, it can feel like you are reliving them.

That’s why soul care is not optional in the writing process.

It’s necessary.

Because writing without emotional awareness can lead to:

  • overwhelm

  • shutdown

  • or even avoidance

And many writers mislabel that as “writer’s block.”

But sometimes it’s not a block.

It’s your soul asking for care.

Soul care in writing looks like:

  • recognizing when something feels too heavy

  • stepping away without guilt

  • giving yourself time to process before putting it into words

  • choosing peace over pressure

You are not behind because you paused.

You are aware.

And awareness protects your ability to keep going.

There is no deadline on healing.

And there is no requirement to write everything at once.

You are allowed to take your time with your story.

Because your well-being matters more than your word count.

And when you write from a place of emotional safety…

Your words carry more truth, more clarity, and more impact.

Protect your peace.

Honor your process.

And return to the page when you are ready.

Write from wholeness.

Become through renewal.

Publish with purpose.
