MONDAY MENTOR… You Don’t Need a Perfect Story to Start
There is a misconception that keeps many writers stuck:
“I’ll start writing when everything makes sense.”
But writing doesn’t work like that.
Clarity is not something you arrive at before you write, it’s something you discover through writing.
Many people delay their book because they believe they need:
a fully healed version of themselves
a clean, complete story
or the perfect way to say everything
But the truth is… your story doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful.
It has to be honest.
Some of your most meaningful writing will come from the middle of your process, not the end of it.
Because writing is not just about documenting what happened…
It’s about understanding what it meant.
And that understanding develops as you begin to put words to your experience.
You are not disqualified because you’re still processing.
You are positioned.
When you start where you are:
your voice begins to form
your message becomes clearer
and your confidence grows
Perfection delays purpose.
But honesty moves you forward.
So instead of waiting until everything is figured out…
Start writing what you do know.
Start writing what you can say.
Start writing what is real.
Because clarity is coming.
And it will meet you on the page.
Write from wholeness.
Become through renewal.
Publish with purpose.
