Your Block Is the Bridge. Turning Resistance Into Revelation…

Writer’s block can feel like a wall, frustrating, discouraging, and confusing.

You sit down to write, and suddenly the words you were so sure about refuse to come forward.

But what if the block isn’t a wall at all?

What if it’s a bridge?

A bridge between where you are and what God is trying to show you.

A bridge between the story you want to write and the truth you’re meant to confront.

A bridge between your voice and the deeper version of you that’s rising.

This month, we’ve explored purpose, identity, healing, and the courage it takes to step into your story. And now, as we close out the month, I want you to see your resistance differently.

Your block is not punishment, it’s positioning.

God isn’t withholding words from you,

He’s inviting you into revelation.

Sometimes He slows your pen so He can speak to your heart.

Sometimes He pauses your writing because you’re about to access a deeper layer of healing.

Sometimes the silence isn’t silence, it’s instruction.

Every writer I’ve ever coached, including myself, has had a moment where the flow suddenly stopped. And almost every time, when we look back, we realize:

The block came right before the breakthrough.

The pause came right before the reveal.

The stillness came right before the shift.

The block becomes a bridge when you stop fighting it

and start listening to it.

Because resistance is always an indicator:

Something is moving inside you.

Something is aligning.

Something is being revealed.

So instead of forcing your way through, let this be your invitation to reflect.

Journaling Prompts for the Blocked-but-Becoming Writer

Take a moment this week to sit with these questions:

  1. What is God trying to reveal in my pause?

  2. What emotion rises when I try to write?

  3. What chapter am I avoiding, and why?

  4. What truth feels too heavy to name right now?

  5. What healing is God preparing me for in this stillness?

Let the answers come slowly.

Let them come honestly.

Let them come without pressure.

Because the revelation you find in the pause will carry you into your next chapter with clarity and confidence.

As We Close This Month…

You’ve grown.

You’ve confronted.

You’ve remembered.

You’ve reclaimed.

You’ve written, even if the writing happened in your heart.

Your block is becoming a bridge.

Your silence is becoming insight.

Your resistance is becoming revelation.

And the story you carry is rising stronger than ever.

With purpose & a ready pen,

Mia
