The Block Wasn’t a Barrier, It Was a Beginning…
As this week comes to a close, I want to pause with you for a moment.
We started The Writer’s Block Blog by naming something many writers are afraid to admit:
Sometimes the words just won’t come.
And yet look at us now.
We made it to the end of week one, together.
This week wasn’t about producing perfect pages.
It was about recognizing the places where our stories feel tangled, heavy, or hidden, and giving ourselves permission to show up anyway.
If your pen touched the page, even once, celebrate that.
If you sat in silence but gained clarity, honor that.
If you simply breathed deeper and let your heart settle, thank God for that.
All of it counts.
All of it is progress.
All of it is part of the healing.
One thing I’ve learned in my own journey is this:
✨ You never finish a week the same way you started it when you commit to telling your truth.
So here are a few things I want you to carry into the weekend:
1. Your pace is not too slow.
The story is unfolding exactly as it needs to.
2. The block is shifting.
Not because of pressure — but because you’re choosing honesty over perfection.
3. God is breathing on your process.
Even in the pauses.
Even in the pages you didn’t write yet.
4. Your voice is awakening.
Every thought, every prayer, every small step is stretching you into a writer with purpose.
So as you close out this week, I want to ask you one powerful question:
What did this week reveal about you as a writer?
Take a moment this weekend to reflect.
Journal.
Pray.
Rest.
And let the quiet whisper back to you that you are exactly where you’re supposed to be.
Next week, we go deeper.
Next week, we explore healing through storytelling.
Next week, we step even closer to the story God trusted you to carry.
Finish this week knowing this:
Your story is becoming clearer.
Your courage is becoming louder.
And the writer in you is waking up.
See you in the next post,
right here at The Writer’s Block Blog.
Keep writing through the block,
Mia
