🌿 Midweek Reflection: The More You Tell the Truth, the Less Shame Can Talk…

We’re halfway through the week, and if you’ve been sitting with your story a little more closely, you’ve probably felt some things stirring.

Old emotions resurfacing.

Memories you thought you were done with.

Moments you didn’t realize still held weight.

That’s what happens when you start treating your story like ministry instead of mess.

Things shift.

Things surface.

Things soften.

But here’s the beauty of midweek revelation:

God never exposes to embarrass you, He exposes to free you.

This is the point in the storytelling journey where many people want to shut the notebook, push the memories down, and pretend they’re “fine.” But the truth is… you’re not just recalling a chapter — you’re redefining it.

When I wrote Seeds of My Existence, I thought revisiting those early chapters would break me. But instead, it rebuilt me. Reframing my past from shame to testimony gave me strength I didn’t know I still had.

And that’s what God is doing in you right now.

He’s showing you that the parts of your story that once silenced you are actually the parts that carry the most power. Not because they were easy… but because they were survived.

So as we sit here in the middle of the week, here are a few gentle truths to steady your heart:

1. The story that scares you is the story that will free you.

If it didn’t matter, the enemy wouldn’t fight you so hard on writing it.

2. Pain becomes purpose when you decide to stop hiding.

Healing begins the moment we stop rehearsing shame.

3. God is turning pages with you.

You’re not reliving your old life, you’re reclaiming it.

4. Ministry starts in honesty.

Before your story can help the world, it has to minister to you first.

So if this week has felt heavy, emotional, or unexpectedly reflective…

that’s not regression.

That’s transformation.

You’re shedding the lie that your story is “too much.”

You’re releasing the fear that your past disqualifies you.

You’re embracing the truth that your story carries oil.

And God is smiling because you’re finally seeing yourself the way He always did.

Keep writing.

Keep healing.

Keep following the pull in your spirit.

By the end of this week, you’ll realize you’re not just telling a story, you’re stepping into your assignment.

With purpose & a ready pen,

Mia
